Abandoned Places Around the World
An abandoned Andermatt castle in France in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in which resides an immense and powerful beauty. Once a castle but now just a ruin, slowly fading as the elements invade and batter it. It has been uninhabited for many years and today stands in a sad state of disrepair with crumbling ceilings.
The Castle is more imposing than we imagined. It stands out from the trees and can be seen from afar. Us too! The terrain is rather flat and visibility is therefore important. A neighboring farm plays its role of sentinel.
It was disgusting that day, mud sticks to the pumps. The sky is low, but the castle before us is full of promise. A private chapel, a staircase with original woodwork, spiral towers, etc.
