Abandoned Places Around the World
Welcome to the mysterious and enchanting world of La Scala Rossa, also known as Villa Keiko. This hidden gem, often likened to a red carpet, beckons urban explorers with its melodious allure and hidden secrets.
Villa Keiko redefines the concept of wonder in urban exploration. Entering through the basement, once a lush garden now blanketed in dry leaves, you embark on a journey through time. The basement reveals a leisure haven, complete with a table tennis setup, foosball table, a cellar, and a bar/tavern area. As you ascend the red-carpeted staircase, the grandeur of the villa unfolds.
The dining room and lounge greet you with a timeless elegance, but the true marvel lies in the entrance, dominated by a magnificent wooden staircase adorned with the iconic red carpet. Each step up this staircase is a step back in time, revealing the villa’s luxurious past.
The mezzanine floor adds a touch of somber beauty, with a piano now silenced by falling pieces of the ceiling. Despite the decay, the music of the past lingers in the air, a haunting reminder of the villa’s former glory.
On the second and third floors, a myriad of rooms await exploration. Bedrooms and studies, each with their unique charm, whisper tales of forgotten lives. The villa’s luxury and elegance, still evident in the decayed walls and abandoned furniture, evoke a profound sense of sadness and melancholy.
Among the remnants of this once vibrant villa, dolls stand as silent witnesses, hoping for a return of laughter and life. The absence of clear explanations for the villa’s abandonment only deepens the mystery, leaving visitors with a mix of awe and sorrow.
Villa Keiko, with its red staircase and poignant beauty, is a testament to the passage of time and the echoes of the past that linger in abandoned places.
